Gilgai Farms, situated in Central West NSW, is Holistically managed under a Regenerative Ecological Farming System. Our triple bottom line of ecology, finances and people has enabled us to focus on soil health and its implications and benefits on animal and human health.
We take pride in producing Healthy and Nutritious Quality Grass Fed Beef and Lamb direct to the consumer. Our farms totaling nearly 2800 hectares are also home to the growing of cereals crops, native hardwoods, eucalypt mallee plantations and in the near future bio diesel production.
Working with the Best Biological Farming Practices we are restoring the Soil Food Web to increase Soil Health and Biodiversity.
The Grazing Management of a Simmental Beef Herd and a Fine / Superfine Merino Wool Flock in conjunction with ‘No Kill Till’ and ‘Pasture Cropping’ techniques and with the application of ‘Compost Teas’ and other Biological Additives is enabling us to progress towards our environmental and ecological goals. An added benefit in our multi-faceted approach has been the sequestration of significant amounts of organic carbon in our soils, in a short space of time.
Designated areas for native flora revegetation and conservation have been set aside and our farms are currently home to more than 130 native grass, forbs and shrub species as well as a host of birds and native animals.

Nine years of data recorded under Quality Assurance Farm software, that also incorporates 'Pastures from Space' technology and monitoring are proof that we are moving towards our goals. All our livestock are handled through low stress stock handling techniques. We can guarantee our products are:
